According to research by Asana, a major US SaaS company, people at work spend about 60% of their working hours on “work about work.”

“Work about work” is the work that produces no results by itself: checking on progress and chasing updates, searching for information and files, switching between tools and copying data from one to another, attending meetings that are not needed, and so on.
